Presentation Night

This year the Presentation Night will be on Friday 16 May 2008 at Silverwood Miners Welfare.  Entrance tickets will be on sale at £1.50 for each adult.  Children are free.
We shall be once again asking for parents/carers to provide food, therefore, will you please liaise with the Manager.  There will be a disco/karaoke on the night.

We are also asking for raffle prizes.  Raffle tickets are to be sold by the players and these are being given out now.  Ask your employers, neighbours, friends and relatives to see if they would like to donate something. Every little helps.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 9 June 2008 at Silverwood Miners Welfare commencing at 7.00pm.  You are welcome to attend this meeting.  We also have regular monthly meetings and again you are invited to attend, the next one being on Monday 14 April 2008 again at Silverwood and a 7.00pm start.
Due to winter training and each team not training at the same time it is difficult for Shirley to collect the subscriptions.  Will you, therefore, please let the designated person in your team have your subscriptions.  Just a reminder, the subscriptions are £100 per year, £20 on registration and £10 per month from September to April.  The money is used mostly for winter training because we have to pay for pitches and floodlights.  It is also used to purchase balls, pay referees and buy any kit or equipment that may be used.

Training

Now that the dark nights are over training will be back at Silverwood on a THURSDAY night, 6pm to 7pm.

Recruitment

As you all know we are always on the lookout for new players.  If you know of anyone who would like to join the football club then please bring them along to the training.  We shall be advertising shortly to do the “soccer school” for four weeks in June as we have done in the past.

Website

We would like  to point out that we now have a forum on the website for people to register.  This is for all parents, players and managers and it is a great way for teams to communicate throughout the week  and discuss anything.  To use this forum all you have to do is register on the site but, for security reasons, please use your correct names so that we can verify if it is someone connected to Rotherham Town Girls JFC. The website address is www.rotherhamtowngirlsjfc.co.uk.

And finally, congratulations to the Under 16 team who have reached  the Cup final. Good luck to them.
