15th July. The U13s played in the Hoyland Falcons Tournament at Barnsley and again progressed to the semi finals before eventually losing 4-3 on penalties. Weather was appauling as it never stopped raining and everyone got soaked to the skin. A big thank you for the great support for the girls from all the parents who all got soaked aswell. Im sure the U13s will make it to a final soon, just need that little bit of luck. Fantastic effort again U13s.

July 7th. The Eckington Tournament has been CANCELLED.

4th July. The Eckington Tournament looks like its cancelled for us. There are apprently no age groups available for our teams now. Shirley is looking into it for the Under 15/16s but for the rest of us, its almost certain to be off.

1st July. Tournament at Darfield played at the Kendray Playing fields. Our U12s team played their games on the 30th June and had to play in a mixed group spreading across the younger age groups as the weather seemed to have caused havoc and several teams pulling out. They never scored a goal, but never conceded either drawing all their games 0-0. Sadly not enough to qualify from the group stages. Loads of rain and everyone got wet through, but all enjoyed it.

The U13s games were played on walled in astro turf pitches which they hadn't done before, so the use of wall was new to them and they struggled to get to grips with it in their first 2 games losing them 3-1 with Yekta scoring, and the 2-1 with Toni scoring, Toni also picked up an injury that ruled her out of the rest of the tournament. The next two games changed as the girls had learned to play using the walls and they won 3-1 with Yekta, Carly and Vicky all scoring, and 2-0 again Vicky and Carly scored. This secured them a place in the semi finals. The weather was hot so water fights started again, and there was a long wait for semi finals. Eventually the U13s lost the semi 1-0 as they seemed to run out of steam in the heat and another long day. But the girls were fantastic again. Yekta was our outstanding player today, Naomi took over in net and seemed a natural indoor 5 a side keeper. Carly for a newcomer to the squad was excellent. And a big thanks to Anna and Tanya for being excellent subs and supporting the team. Well done girls, and thanks to all the parents for their support.

U15s result and details to follow.

18th June 2007. Peter Halpin our Chairman is stepping down.. We wish to thank him for all his support and efforts over the years and wish him all the best in the future. This does however put us in need of a new Chairman. If anyone wishes to apply for the position then please contact Shirley so this can be put before the committee. Peter will still be around to help the transition of the new Chairman and assist where ever he can when available as he has a soft spot and love for the club.

15th June 2007. AGM meeting at Silverwood Miners Welfare Club at 7pm.

9th June 2007. The clubs first summer tournament of this year was at Birks Holt Sports Club in Maltby and we took an U12, U13 and U15 teams. Sadly our U12 team didn't manage to qualify from their group but I hope they all enjoyed the day.

Our U13 team managed to win 2 and draw 2 in the group stages. Both Akila, Hollie and Kelly scoring goals to get us through to the semis. Aimee was outstanding throughout the tournament. Vicky our captain again commanded the back and led by example. Several of the players had to play out of position but did fantastic most notably Yekta. It was a great day, very hot, lots of water fights between games and hopefully everyone really enjoyed it. Great fantastic team performance again. Well Done.

Our U15 team got to the final before eventually losing 2-0. Well done girls.
