Club Merger
After a long relationship over several years. Both Rotherham United Ladies FC and Rotherham Town Girls JFC agreed to a merger with the junior section becoming the official feeder club.
This has been happening over the last few season with Rotherham Town Girls joining the ranks of Rotherham United Ladies so it was finally voted upon and the decision was taken to make this all official.
A spokesperson for Rotherham Town Girls JFC said " This now gives our players the chance to continue their football once the reach 16 and leave the junior ranks." This was echoed from Rotherham United Ladies who are growing each season and becoming one of the best ladies teams in the country, and to keep this going from strength to strength we need to be able to have new players coming through to help the club grow. "What better way to do this than from having our own junior teams coming through." said a source close to the club.
